A brand-new agency offer, launched at the start of 2026 with no warm list, made $168,000 in revenue off $35,076 in Meta ad spend. The campaigns booked 129 sales calls at $271.91 each, 97 prospects showed up, 71 were qualified and 24 closed, a 33.8% close rate on qualified calls and a 4.79x return on ad spend.

What was the starting point?
The offer was brand new. No track record on paid traffic, no list of past buyers to warm up, and no proof that cold prospects would pay for it. That's the hardest place to launch from, because every single person who books a call found the business through an ad a few days earlier and has no reason to trust it yet.
In that situation most people ask for cheap leads first. I don't, because a cheap lead who never shows up still costs your closer an hour. The goal from day one was booked, qualified calls with prospects who could actually pay, and I judged every campaign on that number, not on cost per lead.
What did we build?
The same call funnel engine I install for every high-ticket offer:
- Meta ads on cold traffic, written to one avatar at a time so the right people self-select before they click.
- A VSL landing page and an application form, so the video does the educating and the application filters out people who can't buy.
- A booking page and a confirmation page, so a qualified applicant goes straight onto the calendar while their intent is highest.
- A pre-call sequence: email and SMS reminders, a setter phone call within 5 minutes of booking, and retargeting content so the prospect sees more of the business before the call.
The pre-call sequence is the part most funnels skip, and it's the reason the numbers below hold up. If someone books and then hears nothing for three days, they forget why they booked. If they get a call within minutes and keep seeing your content, they arrive knowing who you are and what you sell, so your closer spends the call selling instead of explaining. I break the full build down in how to build a VSL funnel that books cold sales calls.
How did the calls convert?
I track every call through four stages against my own benchmarks: 80% show rate, 80% of shows qualified, and a 30% close rate on qualified calls.

- Show rate: 75.2%. 97 of 129 booked prospects turned up, just under the 80% benchmark, which is strong for cold traffic on a brand-new offer.
- Call quality: 73.2%. 71 of the 97 who showed were qualified to buy. Slightly under benchmark, which tells me the application could filter a little harder.
- Close rate: 33.8%. 24 of 71 qualified prospects bought, above the 30% benchmark. That's what a competent closer who knows the offer well should be able to do when the prospects arrive pre-sold.
Because every stage is tracked separately, the next improvement is obvious: tighten the application questions to lift call quality toward 80%, and the same spend produces more closes without touching the ads.
What does this mean for your offer?
If you're launching a new high-ticket offer, the lesson is that you don't need warm traffic or a big audience to get it off the ground. You need an offer built for cold traffic, a funnel that educates and filters before the call, and a closer who can finish the job. At roughly $1,460 in ad spend per closed deal and a $7,000 average deal, this offer paid for its own advertising almost five times over.
FAQ
How much did it cost to get each client?
About $1,460 in ad spend per closed client: $35,076 spent across 24 closed deals. Each booked call cost $271.91, and each call where the prospect actually showed up cost about $362.
Can a brand-new offer work on cold Meta traffic?
Yes, if the offer is built for cold traffic and the funnel does the educating before the call. This offer had no warm list and still closed 33.8% of qualified calls, because the pre-call sequence made sure prospects arrived knowing what was being sold.
What close rate should you expect on cold traffic?
My benchmark is 30% on qualified calls for a closer who is competitive and knows the offer well. This account hit 33.8%. If you're well below 30% with a good show rate, the problem is usually the sales process or call quality, not the ads.
